I have a BA degree in psychology and human relations from Pace University, Westchester, New York, and have a graduate degree (Licenciate) in psychology and a two-year specialization in clinical psychology from the University of Costa Rica. After working two years at the National Psychiatric Hospital, I started my private practice focusing on short-and long-term support to individuals, couples, and families.
I am registered with College of Costa Rican Psychologists, and am a founding member of the Costa Rican Association of Psychotherapy, in which I have been active for the past 30 years.
I am open to using different techniques and skills to work towards success with my patient, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
I strive to meet patients where they are and help them articulate expectations for their therapy so that together we can create a positive and productive therapeutic relationship.
